thyssenkrupp nucera's Annual Report Wins Prestigious German Design Award 2025
Dortmund, December 3, 2024 - thyssenkrupp nucera has been awarded the prestigious German Design Award 2025 in the category “Excellent Communications Design.” The 2022/2023 annual report of the world's leading supplier of electrolysis technology was recognized for its outstanding and exemplary design achievements in the “Excellent Communications Design” category. The German Design Award is considered one of the most prestigious awards in the design industry. The official statement reads: “The annual report impresses with its successful combination of communicative storytelling and factual reporting. The fresh visual identity with the striking color purple and the clear imagery attracts readers. The intuitive navigation enables optimal reading guidance, which makes the ‘thyssenkrupp nucera AG & Co. KGaA Annual Report 2023’ a good example of modern corporate communication.” “With the German Design Award, we are receiving an award that underpins our commitment to transparency and quality. It spurs us on to always offer innovation and added value in all our solutions, whether industrial or product-related,” says Dr. Werner Ponikwar, CEO thyssenkrupp nucera. The 2022/2023 Annual Report was designed by the agency HGB, Hamburger Geschäftsberichte. HGB specializes in financial communications for companies. With more than 900 reports, many of which have won international awards, for more than 180 clients since the agency was founded almost 30 years ago, HGB is one of Germany's leading agencies in the field of corporate reports. “We are of course delighted to receive this award – it confirms exactly our approach: a combination of the compulsory and the optional leads to results that are fun to create. And are therefore better perceived,” says Boris Fister, member of the management board and head of reporting at HGB. The German Design Award is one of the most prestigious design awards worldwide and is highly regarded far beyond specialist circles. Since 2012, the jury has been identifying and awarding prizes to outstanding contributions in the fields of product and communication design and architecture every year. In a nomination process, expert committees of the German Design Council invite only those products and communication design services to participate in the competition that have demonstrably differentiated themselves through their design quality. All awards are determined in a multi-stage judging process and during a two-day jury session.
