• Group turnover of EUR 36 million around 23 % below the previous year’s level (previous year: EUR 47.0 million)
• Group operating EBIT of EUR 0.2 million (previous year: EUR 4.5 million) significantly below the value of the previous year
• Order book as of 31 December 2024 remains stable at EUR 56.0 million (30 September 2024: EUR 57.2 million)

According to preliminary figures, FORTEC Elektronik AG recorded a result below the previous year's level in the first half of the 2024/2025 financial year due to challenging macroeconomic conditions. 

In the first six months of the 2024/2025 financial year (1 July 2024 to 31 December 2024), the FORTEC Group generated a turnover of around EUR 36 million, which is around 23 % below the previous year's figure of EUR 47.0 million. Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT), an important success indicator was EUR 0.2 million, significantly below the value of the previous year (previous year: EUR 4.5 million). The EBIT margin based on this decreased accordingly from 9.6 % to 0.5 %. The Group profit was in accordance with preliminary calculations as EUR 0.2 million (previous year: EUR 3.2 million).

The order book as of 31 December 2024 has normalised to a level of EUR 56.0 million.

The Board of Directors of FORTEC Elektronik AG has adjusted the forecast for the current financial year 2024/2025 due to the preliminary figures, the continuing economic weakness and the acute geopolitical challenges. The company now expects a group turnover of between EUR 80.0 million and EUR 95.0 million (previously: EUR 95.0 million to EUR 110 million) and a group EBIT of between EUR 4.0 million and EUR 6.0 million (previously: EUR 6.0 million to EUR 8.0 million).

The adjustment of the short-term forecast also necessitates a postponement of the medium-term forecast from 2023. The medium-term turnover target of EUR 120.0 to 130.0 million will be postponed from 2026 to 2030.

Sandra Maile, CEO of FORTEC Elektronik AG, comments: "Even though we are seeing positive signs for the second half of the year, we lack the necessary momentum to fully compensate for the first two quarters and achieve our original target. We are therefore currently in even closer dialogue with our customers in order to develop joint strategies to ensure our ability to deliver, if necessary with alternative products, despite impending punitive tariffs and existing sanctions lists. The anniversary year will definitely be another year of particular challenges."
