Graz, July 21, 2026 – Florian Wagner, CEO and Principal Shareholder of Emerald Horizon AG (Vienna Stock Exchange / Ticker: SMRX | ISIN: AT0000A3UZE1), has announced that he has pledged 75,000 shares of the company held privately by him — corresponding to a volume of approximately EUR 76 million, calculated at the opening price on July 20, 2026 — as collateral under a private Lombard loan.

With reference to the EQS ad hoc announcement (No. 106124) issued yesterday (July 20, 2026), it should be reiterated that this expressly does not constitute a sale of shares. Beneficial ownership, voting rights, and dividend rights remain entirely with Mr. Wagner; his shareholding percentage remains unchanged. The shares involved are from his existing holdings.

This measure is part of an overarching, multi-stage package of measures. In accordance with applicable capital markets regulations, the Company will provide information on further activities in due course. The funds raised in connection with this package of measures are to be used primarily, both directly and indirectly, for the commercialization of DUALstorePLUS as well as for the accelerated technical implementation and industrial transfer of the ADES/SMRX program. ADES (Accelerator-Driven Energy Source) is a thorium-based, accelerator-driven subcritical microreactor (25 MWth). DUALstore PLUS is the Company's hybrid storage product, capable of storing both electrical energy and heat. It will be offered to customers effective immediately as Energy as a Service.
